Amman, March 2016 – Extending its cutting-edge security solutions to the banking sector, OFFTEC – a subsidiary of OFFTEC Holding Group (OHG) – has provided Housing Bank for Trade and Finance with comprehensive security coverage of its automatic teller machines (ATMs) across the Kingdom. This security solution, implemented to increase safety levels and to protect the Bank’s ATMs from breach, was manufactured by OFFTEC’s partnering business PCSC, an American designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art access control solutions.

Utilizing centralized management, alerting and reporting, OFFTEC’s ATM security solution integrates a number of existing security solutions into one streamlined structure, incorporating digital surveillance, access control and fire alarm systems into one consolidated, comprehensive system. If an ATM is subjected to a physical attack or any other abnormal behavior, the security solution is capable of notifying headquarters as well as alerting the relevant authorities by SMS. Furthermore, OFFTEC’s unique ATM security solution provides additional protections through its reliance on fingerprint recognition.

“As a leader in security solutions in Jordan, OFFTEC strives to continuously raise the bar on available security offerings, bringing new and innovative technologies to the Kingdom in order to protect its people, businesses and assets,” said OHG CEO, Basim Said. “We are excited to roll out this new security solution for the banking sector, expanding our reach within the market and safeguarding a wider segment of the population according to improved security standards.”

In turn, Housing Bank for Trade and Finance’s Acting General Manager, Ihab Saadi, commented, “Housing Bank’s commitment to security was the driving force behind our decision to overhaul existing ATM security systems in favor of a more comprehensive, streamlined solution. Through the centralized security solution offered by OFFTEC, we look forward to being able to manage our ATM security efficiently, keeping our customers and our ATMs safe.”
